This week, guest Jay Egg joins us to talk about geothermal technology and the tremendous progress that is being made with it. Jay is founder/president of EggGeothermal, based in Kissimmee, FL, a firm that specializes in geothermal HVAC systems. Jay has been designing and constructing geothermal systems for more than 25 years.
His first geothermal system was built for his own home when he decided there was a better way to cool his home than conventional compressor systems. He has written several articles on the subject and two books. His most recent publication, with co-author Greg Cunniff, is a graduate-level textbook published by McGraw-Hill in April 2013. It’s titled “Modern Geothermal HVAC Engineering and Controls Applications.”
