Construction to Begin on Mixed Use Community in Gilbert, Arizona

Cooley Station in Gilbert, Ariz. will see the long-awaited Cooley Station project. A commercial and multifamily mixed-use development has broken ground on construction for the 650-acre community. The project’s developer, SB2-Gilbert LLC, says the community will be one in a series of residential developments in the area.

Developer Planning for a 400-Unit Multifamily Project in Iowa

SB Communities, a Nebraska-based developer, is planning 400 multifamily units in Ankeny, Iowa. The 22-building development will be located on 21 acres near the Southview Middle School in Ankeny’s Prairie Trail.

Solar Panels will Power EPIC “Offices of the Future”

EPIC is Los Angeles’ first commercial building to use solar-generated technology. The 13-story building will be the home of Netflix, beginning spring of this year. Designed by San Francisco-based architectural firm, Gensler, and developed by Hudson Pacific Properties, the building will have electric car charging stations and a landing pad for drones.

Continued Job Growth Expected in New Mexico Construction Industry

New Mexico’s construction industry is booming with expected growth to continue in 2020. Reports from the Associated General Contractors of America rank the state at No. 2 in the nation from October and November due to construction job growth. Since November 2018, 5,300 construction jobs have been added.

Multiple Road Closures to Affect Traffic Flow in Victoria County, Texas

Texas Department of Transportation released a news report last week, stating multiple road closures in Victoria County should be expected for the next three weeks. A quarter of a mile of U.S. 59’s south end will be closed along with the crossover at Hill Street.
