Indiana State University Announces 4 New Athletic Facilities

Indiana State University has recently unveiled plans for an “Athletic Master Plan”. The plan, which will oversee the construction of 4 athletic facilities for the university, includes two new football facilities, each containing seating capacities of 8,000. Currently, costs are unknown, but it is expected to require significant fundraising to complete. 

Minneapolis Saint-Paul International Airport Announces $77 Million in Construction

Minneapolis Saint-Paul International Airport has announced plans to construct a $77 million Safety and Security Center. Once complete, the center will house all of the airport’s emergency response and weather personnel under one roof – a move that is expected to greatly improve operational efficiency. The project is planned to break ground next year, while a completion date is still unknown. 

UTA Approves $400 Million in Funding For Transit Construction Projects

The Utah Transit Authority has recently approved a $400 million, five-year plan for construction projects and equipment purchases. Projects include a $18.6 million relocation of the TRAX station at Salt Lake City International Airport, the construction of a $48.6 million maintenance and fueling facility in downtown Salt Lake City, and the creation of a new, $90 million bus line from Ogden to McKay Dee Hospital. 

4-Story Mixed Use Building in Vancouver Gets the Green Light

A mixed-use project has been given the go-ahead across from Langara College in Vancouver, CAN. The proposal, which will top-out at 93,718 square-feet of total floor area, calls for a 57-foot, 4-story building containing 78 condominiums. 25,000 square-feet of retail and restaurant space will go on the building’s ground floor. The project’s cost is currently unknown. This project is seen as the first phase of a larger redevelopment which would see the construction of denser mixed-use projects, with proposed buildings topping-out at 20 stories tall. 

$25 Million Mixed-Use Project Moves Forward in Wilmington, NC

A $25 million two-building mixed-use development is underway in Wilmington, NC. The development, called Metro Park, would total 83,044 square-feet and would include 264 apartments as well as 8,000 square feet of retail and office space. The project will accommodate residents by providing a maximum parking capacity of 660 spaces.
