Ripon, Wis., may be welcoming two new office buildings to its downtown area after receiving the green light from the Planning Commission. DPG Investments, a diversified investment company with offices throughout the US, will be managing construction of the 2-story buildings.

Project Gives Chicago Teens an Introduction to Architecture
Local teens receive hands-on education in architecture and design, thanks to a grassroots redesign project of the Douglas Park miniature golf course in Chicago. The project, known as Douglass 18, is a nod to African American human-rights leader, Frederick Douglass. Plans and examples of the student-created designs are on display in the Chicago pedway.

Mixed Use Development Passes Initial Council Vote in Tennessee
City officials in Gallatin, Tenn. voted to move forward on a mixed-use development project. If approved in the final vote on Jan. 21, the project will include 684 homes and commercial space situated on 130 acres along Big Station Camp Boulevard in Gallatin.
