An Idaho-based general contracting company, NNAC, is making headlines thanks to its leadership. The American Indian, woman-owned firm specializes in military and government construction projects. It is certified as an 8(a) business due in part to its ownership. Regina Lettau, a Cherokee woman, captains the company which has 30 active projects nationwide and generates over $30 million annually.
Real Estate Firm Invests $150 Million in 18 Months
Coming just weeks after its $32.5 million purchase of a 486-unit community in East Point, Ga., Florida-based firm Blue Magma Residential LLC purchased the Park at Hairston Apartments in Stone Mountain, Ga. for $22.3 million. With the new acquisition of its 11th apartment building, the firm has nearly 4,000 units in Atlanta.
New Development Planned for Christiansburg, Va.
A community in Virginia could see more development. Two developers proposed bringing mixed use buildings to the fast-growing Peppers Ferry Road area of Christiansburg. Townhouses, apartments, office space, and a shopping center as well as a hotel are all in the works for 28 acres of land on Peppers Ferry Road Northeast.
Warehouse Construction in Dallas-Fort Worth Hits New High
In North Texas, almost 18 million square feet is occupied by warehouses. With the current construction in Dallas-Fort Worth, that number is projected to rise by 35 million square feet. The amount of industrial buildings in D-FW is greater than any other commercial construction combined.
