AGT Moves to New 27,000 SF Facility in Maryland Life Sciences Corridor
American Gene Technologies, a Maryland-based gene and cell therapy company, has announced that it has leased a spacious, modern facility in the Maryland Life Sciences Corridor near the National Cancer Institute in Rockville, Md. The new 27,000 square-foot facility will house AGT’s HIV Cure and immuno-oncology lead programs.
Construction Complete on New Mixed-Use Skyscraper in Brooklyn
Construction is now complete on One South First, a 435-foot tall mixed-use residential building in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood. The 45-story structure yields 330 rental units, 150,000 square-feet of office space and 13,000 square-feet of ground-floor retail space. The project’s estimated construction costs and completion timeline are both unknown.
700,000 SF Mixed-Use Campus Planned in Durham
A trio of real estate developers has unveiled plans to build an 11-acre mixed-use developed in downtown Durham, N.C. The first phase of the project, titled ATC West, will yield 350 multifamily residential units and 90,000 square-feet of experiential retail space. The project will yield a total of 700,000 square-feet. Construction is slated to begin in late 2021, though it’s unknown what the costs will be.
Office Market of Los Angeles County Sees Lowest Sales in a Decade
Due to contracting demand caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the office market in Los Angeles County shrunk considerably in Q2 of 2020, according to a new report by NAI Capital. Total sales volume dropped 55% compared to the first quarter, making it the lowest quarter for sales in a decace.
Port Manatee Undergoes $8.3 Million Expansion
Port Manatee, located in Palmetto, Fla., has announced plans to continue with a $8.3 million project that would nearly double the size of its dockside container yard. Once complete in June 2021, the project would net an additional 9.3 acre of land. The expansion is a cornerstone of the port’s two-year, $38 million capital enhancement initiative.
