Two Luxury Hotels Planned for Lancaster, Pennsylvania
According to an announcement by developer, SSN Hotels, the firm will break ground on construction of two hotels in early 2021. The planned site is adjacent to Tanger Outlets on Lincoln Highway East and is currently subject to various governmental approvals. Once approved and completed, the first hotel will be a 109-room Hyatt House with a 96-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott to follow.
Route 66 Landmark Expected to get a Facelift Soon
Remodeling plans for a Missouri landmark have been approved by city officials. The beloved Red Cedar Inn, located in Pacific, Mo., is at the center of a renovation project headed up by architecture firm, Patterhn-Ives LLC in St. Louis. The project is still in the planning stage with a proposed budget of $174,000 for the next steps of the phase.
First School to be Rebuilt After 2019 Dallas Tornado
Three Texas schools are in need of a rebuild after a tornado hit in 2019. Dallas Independent School District (DISD) has not chosen a firm for the rebuilds but one trustee, Edwin Flores, has reached out to architect Jay Brotman. Brotman is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High, one of the schools in question. He is also the architect who designed the Sandy Hook Elementary rebuild.

One of the leaders in golf course architecture has died at the age of 94. Pete Dye became a giant in the industry by creating courses that were challenging yet beautiful. Dye is celebrated for designing the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Florida, which includes an innovative and forbidding island green on the 17th hole.
