$27.6 Million Building at Baker College to Begin Construction in May

More specifics have been revealed about the new campus building for Baker College in Royal Oak, Mich., a suburb of Detroit. The 80,000 square-foot building is set to cost roughly $27.6 million and will feature 3 floors of parking, outdoor terrace space, an unspecified number of classrooms, and an unspecified square-footage of office space. Construction is set to begin in May and will be completed sometime in 2021.

Gill Properties to Construct $3.8 Million Commercial Site in East Memphis

Gill Properties, a Tennessee-based commercial real estate agency, plans to begin construction by March on a new shopping center in East Memphis. The one-story, 27,000 square-foot project, titled White Oak at White Station, will house between six and eight businesses between two buildings. The project has an estimated construction cost of roughly $3.8 million. 

Caves Valley Partners Wants to Construct Large Mixed-Use Project in Baltimore

Caves Valley Partners, a Maryland-based real estate development firm, has announced its intention to purchase key areas of Baltimore’s Village of Cross Keys in order to construct a large mixed-use project. If approved, the project will contain a 300-unit apartment building, a 20,000 square-foot grocery store, a gym, a hair salon or spa, an unspecified number of retailers, and a new office building. If given the green light, the project will begin construction by spring of 2022.

Two Office Buildings Totalling Over 90,000 SF Have Been Acquired in Texas

Two large-scale office buildings in Richardson, Texas have recently been purchased. The first, three-story, 32,425 square-foot Richardson Medical Center, contains both specialized medical general office space. The buyer has not been disclosed. The second acquisition is a four-story building containing 60,000 square-feet of office space. The buyer is BH Properties, a Los Angeles-based real estate investment company. Neither acquisitions’ purchase price have been released.

Construction Begins on $377 Million Luxury Hotel in Salt Lake City

Ground has been broken on a new luxury hotel in Salt Lake City. The $377 million skyscraper, known as the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, will contain 700 rooms and rise 25 stories. The hotel will also contain a 23,138 square-foot ballroom, multiple meeting spaces, an outdoor terrace, and other features tied to the city’s convention center. Construction is expected to be completed in October 2022.
