AEP Announces Supply & Purchasing Agreement with New Partner

Atlas Engineered Products (AEP) has made an agreement with Gillfor Distribution Inc., a leading distributor of independent wholesale building materials. AEP announced the agreement on Oct. 31, 2019, stating Gillfor will supply engineered wood products for all of AEP’s Eastern Canadian operations. Free bulk shipping, competitive pricing, and comprehensive support services have been included in the agreement.


City Officials Seek Public Input to Update Parks & Rec Master Plan

As the process begins to update the Parks and Recreation Master Plan for San Angelo, Texas, the city’s parks director asks for public input to continue. The city has secured $32,500 in grants via Texas Healthy Communities Initiative — just under half of the $70,000 cost to commission the master plan. In order to continue, input from citizens is sought to decide on improvements and programs to include in the plan.


$2.5 Million Funding Secured for Phase I of Sumrall, Mississippi Sportsplex

City officials in Sumrall, Miss. are accepting bids to improve a local sportsplex. After securing $2.5 million in funding, plans for Phase I include a new road, parking lot, and pre-excavation for eight new tennis courts at the site located off Mississippi 42.


Revitalization Projects in Belleville, NJ Kicks Off

A plan is in motion for revitalization of Belleville, N.J. Franklin Avenue will be the site of a mixed use, three-story brick building. The project will be managed by Sound Development LLC of Newark and includes one and two-bedroom apartments as well as ground-level commercial spaces. 


Historic Mixed-Use Building in Downtown Memphis Recently Acquired 

Pittsburgh-based real estate investment firm will spend the next 24 months renovating a mixed-use apartment complex in Downtown Memphis. The firm, Alpha Capital Partners, will modernize an existing 112-unit building by upgrading interior finishes such as granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. The 16-story mixed-use building was originally built in 1908 with the last renovations in 2001.
