Work is being done on a major waterfront mixed-use development in Dover, Del. Cathartes, a Boston-based private real estate firm, will create approximately 500,000 square-feet of mixed-use space including 25,000 square-feet of ground-level commercial space. The project will also entail office, retail, restaurant, and hotel facilities, as well as 475 residential units. The project’s estimated timeline and construction costs are currently unknown.
Boston Firm Buys RTP Office Complex for $64.7 Million
Boston-based Longfellow Real Estate Partners, a science and tech-focused firm, has purchased a 400,000 square-foot office park in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park. The company purchased the complex for $64.7 million and plans to make façade and landscape improvements, as well as convert vacant suites into state-of-the-art lab space. This acquisition represents the 19th purchase by the firm in the area.
$200 Million Boutique Office Building Being Built in Manhattan
A new boutique office building is getting ready to break ground in Manhattan’s West Chelsea neighborhood. The Moinian family, owners and operators of The Moinian Group, will construct the $200 million Hudson Arts Building over the next two years, with an expected completion date of 2022. Amazon is planning to move an operations facility into a logistics center that is being constructed in Mt. Comfort, Ind. The online retail giant is constructing a 660,384 square-foot fulfillment and distribution center which is expected to add 800 new, full-time jobs to the area. A new sports and recreation facility is being built in Cedar Park, Texas. The project, known as The Crossover, will consist of 240,000 square-feet and will feature two hockey rinks, two turf fields, dining options, and family-friendly entertainment.
