MacKenzie Capital Secured $52 Million in Project Financing

Mackenzie Capital, LLC, a Maryland-based real estate investment firm, has recently secured $52 million in project financing in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina. Some projects that are now moving forward as a result of this funding include an office building, an apartment complex, a mixed-use project, a boutique hotel, and a branded hotel with a marina.

Plans Announced for Construction of 40-Story Mixed-Use Tower in Baltimore

Maryland-based developers have released detailed designs for a 40-story mixed-use tower to be constructed on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The 500,000 square-foot building will feature a hotel, office building, residential units, ground-floor retail space, and a 600-car parking garage. The project’s estimated cost and timeline are currently unknown.

Construction to Begin on $24 Million Annex in Chicago Elementary School

Construction is set to begin soon on a new $24 million annex at Waters Elementary School in Chicago. Once built, the new LEED Silver-certified building add seven new classrooms, a cafeteria, an art room, a music room and a media center. The building is planned for completion in fall 2021.

New 40-Bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility to Open in Texas

Encompass Health Corp. and Shannon Health have decided to pool resources to construct a new, 40-bed, inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Texas. The hospital will include a spacious therapy gym, advanced rehabilitation technologies, a cafeteria and dining room, a pharmacy, and a courtyard. The new facility, which has a currently unknown estimated cost, is expected to open in 2021.

New 30,000 SF Public Safety Facility Will Cost an Estimated $10.7 Million

The police and fire departments of Collingswood, N.J. will soon break ground on a new $10.7 million, 30,000 square-foot public safety facility, which will house both sets of first responders. The building is expected to improve response times, reduce operation and maintenance costs, and provide improved communication between the departments. The facility is expected to be completed in 2021.
