What?
The Kingspan Group, a world-renowned company and a leader in insulation and building solutions, acquired U.S.-based Minnesota Diversified Products, Inc. (DBA DiversiFoam). The new plant is located at 9091 Country Road 50 in Rockford, MN.

Who was involved?

When did it happen?
This acquisition took place on October 1, 2021.

Why is it important?
Minnesota Diversified Products, Inc. manufactures extruded polystyrene form (XPS), expanded polystyrene foam (EPS) and fabricates polyisocyanurate foam billets for use in construction, insulation, packaging, and OEM applications. Kingspan Group will integrate DiversiFoam with the North American division of Kingspan Insulation LLC and become a key proponent of Planet Passionate, Kingspan's 10-year global sustainability program, in the Americas.

Kingspan Group acquired US-based Minnesota Diversified Products, Inc. (DBA DiversiFoam) to strengthen and expand its US client base and core building insulation business in a sector projected to register strong growth.

Acquisition of DBA DiversiFoam is a plus factor to Kingspan with the former’s reputation on integrity, quality, and innovation.

Kingspan and DiversiFoam share the same vision and passion for the environment. Both strongly uphold the principles to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste in their operations.

The combination of products already manufactured by Kingspan and DiversiFoam provides customers with an even broader range of premium insulation solutions across new geographies.
