Multi-sensor fire detection
The 440 series of automatic fire detectors consists of seven detectors and four bases and includes detectors with photoelectric, heat, and carbon-monoxide sensors for maximum reliability and reduced false alarms. The detectors use the company’s dual-ray technology that is said to provide extremely reliable fire detection. A dual-optical sensor uses an infrared and a blue LED to scatter light and compares wavelength intensity to determine smoke density and particle size. The series has a self-monitoring feature that generates a trouble message if sensor functionality is not detected.
